Literacy has always been important to me. When I look back through the years, there was hardly ever a time when I didn't have a book in my hands. To this day, I still use dictionaries, encyclopedias, and other books of information to look information up. There is something about actually holding a book, smelling a book, and connecting with a book that makes the whole reading experience worthwhile.
This blog will document my literacy history from my earliest memory to the present day, in a sporadic manner, as I travel through the ABCs. This is the easiest way for me to showcase my history as I don't have a very complete linear memory from my childhood to adulthood. I can, however, remember that I have adored books throughout life, so that is what matters most. Sit back, relax, pop a bowl of popcorn, and enjoy! :)
